These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Cart Keeper, a Shopify app for abandoned cart recovery provided by Cart Keeper (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By installing or using Cart Keeper, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
1. The service
Cart Keeper is a Shopify application that:
- Detects abandoned shopping carts in your Shopify store
- Sends automated email sequences to customers who abandon carts
- Provides analytics on cart recovery performance
- Offers tools including a visual email editor, exit-intent popups, and discount code automation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
2. Eligibility and account
To use Cart Keeper, you must have an active Shopify store and comply with Shopify's own terms of service. You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your business. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account and for all activity that occurs through it.
3. Plans and billing
Free plan
The Free plan is available at no cost and includes up to 50 recovered carts per month and a 3-step email sequence. If you reach the monthly limit, email sequences will pause until the following billing cycle.
Pro plan
The Pro plan is billed at $9 USD per month through your Shopify account. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify and is subject to their billing policies. The Pro plan includes:
- Unlimited recovered carts
- Up to 10 email steps per sequence
- Visual email editor and full template gallery
- Advanced analytics, exit-intent popup, and priority support
Free trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required. After the trial, your account reverts to the Free plan unless you subscribe to Pro.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your Shopify admin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cart Keeper to:
- Send emails to people who have not interacted with your store or who have not consented to receiving communications
- Send spam, misleading, or deceptive messages of any kind
- Violate any applicable email marketing laws including CAN-SPAM, CASL, or GDPR
- Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Cart Keeper service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice or refund.
5. Email compliance
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Cart Keeper complies with all applicable email and privacy laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of your customers. Cart Keeper provides tools to help with compliance (including automatic unsubscribe handling and suppression lists), but compliance remains your responsibility as the merchant and data controller. You must not use Cart Keeper to send emails to customers who have opted out of marketing communications.
6. Intellectual property
Cart Keeper and all associated software, designs, and content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Cart Keeper solely for the purposes described in these Terms. You retain ownership of your store data, email content, and any creative assets you create using the app.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Cart Keeper is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result (such as a specific recovery rate or revenue amount) will be achieved. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cart Keeper shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cart Keeper and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the Cart Keeper app at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of Cart Keeper after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Cart Keeper shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
